Mission Trips and More

Mission Trips, Ignite Auburn, and More!

How did FCA get started at Auburn University?
Well, there is only one person who can answer this question and that is the one and only, Chette Williams.

"It was really interesting how it got started! I started working with Impact ministries along side a really great staff in the inner-city of Spartanburg, South Carolina. I traveled a lot around the world speaking at different FCA events. One day, that I will never forget, in 1999 I got a call from Tommy Tuberville, the Head Coach for Auburn Football at the time. He wanted to hire me as the spiritual coordinator for the Auburn Football Team. I was able to have an office in the athletic building and be available to coaches, players, and staff in athletics. Now 21 years later, here we are!"
-Chette Williams, Auburn FCA Director and Auburn Football Chaplain

Testimonies

FCA was the best place for spiritual growth as a young Student Athlete in a College atmosphere. It was a special place for different walks fo life to come together., fellowship, and create bonds with life long friends, and growth in my understanding in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
How did Ignite Auburn impact your life?
Ignite Auburn is an amazing moment to see all the different followers of Christ come together and worship and to see the Holy Spirit move in the town of Auburn, Alabama. Ignite Auburn makes the impact of a lifetime for many people.
Bailey Sharpe, OL at Auburn 2015-2019, Auburn FCA President 2018-2019
Which mission trip did you go on an how did it impact your life on or off the field?
I went on the 2017 Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic. It was humbling for me to see so many people living in poverty but they had the biggest smiles on their faces. It made me really appreciate the little things that we take for granted and how good we have it in the states. "
Kerryon Johnson, RB at Auburn 2015-2018, NFL RB for the Detroit Lions
FCA impacted me as an athlete at Auburn after I had given all I had to excel on and off the field. 3.95 GPA and an All-American football player coming a year after the 2010 National Championship. Still feeling like there was something more...God used FCA to teach me that we can't enjoy this life if we don't know the one who died to give us life and to grow that relationship with Him.
How did Ignite Auburn impact your life?
Ignite Auburn was a chance for me as an Athlete to do something unique  with and for the entire student body at Auburn. All teammates in Christ playing for God's team
